For an elegant, reliable Shower Mixer, CRG Plumbing is your local supplier and installer. Mixers enable you to have just one tap in your shower. This combines the hot and cold water into one outlet, but is not like a thermostatic mixing valve which regulates the temperature.

Benefits of Shower Mixers
A mixer allows you to choose the temperature of your shower by twisting the mixer in a cooler or warmer direction.
Lower Water Bills
Most mixers are fitted with flow limiters, so you’ll save on your water bills.
Ease of Use
Keeping the mixer in the exact position you like the temperature of your water means less to think about when you get up. Of course, that may not work if someone else in your house doesn’t like the same temperature!
Appearance
A single mixer tap takes up less space in the shower and looks better than two individual taps.
Frequently Asked Questions
If you have an existing shower mixer tap, you can fit a new one yourself. You’ll need the appropriate tools and a matching mixer outlet, but it is possible. If you want to change from a standard hot and cold tap shower to a shower mixer, you will need a plumber to cut and reposition the pipes in the wall, and you may also need to re-tile the section where the original taps have been removed.
The shower mixer tap often leaks because of a worn rubber seal, or the cartridge inside the mixer needs replacing. This is a relatively simple job that will save water wastage.
Don’t confuse a shower mixer with a thermostatic mixer valve (TMV) which is a safety mechanism that regulates the temperature before it is expelled from the outlet. You can read more about TMVs here. A shower mixer is not a safety device because you can modify the temperature.
We can modify your pipes and install a shower mixer into your existing bathroom quickly and easily. For your free quote, speak to our friendly team today on 02 4656 4064 or fill out our contact form to enquire online.
